My Individual Horror Trailer Idea

Synopsis

Beginning:
My trailer idea revolved around a group of four friends, who go on a camping trip during the school holidays. The beginning of the trailer will show them all planning the trip around one of their houses. There will also be a scene of them packing up the car with their belongings.

Main:
This part of the trailer will show the teenagers all setting up their tents and settling around the campfire. They will then begin to tell ghost stories and one tells a story about the 'haunted house' near where they are camping. As they are all drinking, they all encourage each other to go to the house.

Ending:
The original horror story comes the reality - a ghost lives in the house. There will be lots of quick, snappy shots of the teenagers running away from the house. I would use several shots of a figure going after the teenagers with a knife.

Characters:
The characters would include two males and two females.

Tiffany - Tiffany is the 'final girl' in this film according to Clover's theory. This is because she fights back against the antagonists. She is also very androgynous and is not as interested in alcohol as her friends.
Georgia - Georgia takes on the sexual role in the film and is therefore seen as a sex object to the male audience. She isn't bothered about being sensible and is the first to die due to carelessness.
Dale - Dale is 'The Donor'. This is because he is the one supplying the alcohol to the rest of the group. Without the alcohol, the group wouldn't have been as confident in to explore.
Jacob - Jacob could also have been seen as 'The Helper'. This is because Jacob would have tried to help save the girls when the horror story came to life.

Location: 
There would be three different locations used in the trailer. The first would be one of the characters bedrooms. This would be where the first scene was held and would be where the planning for the night would begin.
The second would be the woods. This is where the majority of the woods would be filmed as this is where the camping would take place. We would set and tent and campfire up so that it appear to be a proper camping area.
The last location would be the 'haunted house'. Here would be where the trailer would be brought to an end. The location would be dark so that the location is seen as creepy.


Audience:
The audience of my film would be 18+ as it would have an 18 certificate. This being as it will be quite violent and a lot of the story focuses on how alcohol has an affect on you. My film would also be primarily for males. I have chosen this audience as I have included a female that is seen as a 'sex object' in the story. This may encourage more males to watch the film.
